Deadpool Trailer Release!

From the studio who inexplicably sewed his mouth shut the f*cking first time comes a fourth wall breaking anti-hero that you won’t want to miss!

The day has come! The red band trailer for Deadpool has finally dropped and you won’t want to miss it! 2 mins and 54 seconds capturing Ryan Reynolds & Deadpool in all his witty glory.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

For those who managed to catch the leaked SDCC footage you will notice that this footage is slightly shorter and a tad watered down, just slightly! In particular, the bit where Deadpool calls Colossus a cock-gobbler! Whether this was to appease censors, even for a red band trailer, or they just wanted to hold something back to keep the Comic-Con footage exclusive we don’t know. Hopefully the latter, as the R-Rated nature of the film would suggest Deadpool will be censored by nobody!

The trailer captures everything fans love about Marvel’s mercurial Merc with a Mouth, the Green Lantern jibe alone will give you all the insight you need into the wit and lack of movie-universe boundaries the anti-hero Ryan Reynolds will lack. A self-narrating, maniacal, twisted comedian of sorts to whom the four walls of a comic panel, or in this case movie theatre screen will mean nothing. We are super excited for this movie and it could be revolutionary for the comic book genre should it succeed commercially. For years, a Deadpool movie was begged for by fans but nobody wanted to touch it given that no studio wanted to put an R-Rated comic book movie out, especially for a Marvel property, but nothing else would do Deadpool justice. 20th Century Fox, thanks in part to the reactions to leaked test footage, have finally taken the plunge and at least so far, it is paying off.

Deadpool is directed by Tim Miller, stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand and is due for release on the 12th of February 2016. Valentine’s Day weekend. Classic Deadpool.
