Everyone remembers the first time they say The Dark Knight, and how good a movie it was. To be more specific, people remember the first time people seen Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker and how good it was.
Ledger’s performance was amazing, he really made the role his own. He would prepare for the role by keeping himself shut off from the world, and locked away to try get into the mind set of the character. Unfortunately some say the role got the best of him, Ledger, during the editing of the The Dark Knight, Ledger was found dead in his apartment, the result of abusing prescribed medication.
A clip from Too Young to Die, the German documentary covering the life and death of Heath Ledger, has resurfaced and gone viral around the internet again. The clip gives viewers a peek into the diary Ledger kept while preparing for his Academy Award-winning performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight. Gives them some idea of what he done to prepare himself.
The documentary was released in 2012, and this particular clip was uploaded to YouTube by Broadview Pictures in 2014. The video was shared on Reddit Sunday night, and captured the attention of many fans still fascinated by the actor and the character. It is interesting to see a clip like this, as we weren’t given much of an insight into what Ledger was doing to prepare for the role, but this gives us a bit more of an insight.
