We just recieved word of all the rumors surrounding a trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens at this year’s Disney D23. We’ve the lowdown here.
This week saw the release of a Korean short TV spot which generated a massive surge of fangasm among the SW world.
Thus majorly hinting at the possibility of a full length trailer being showing at this year’s D23.
Sadly, it has been confirmed (by a reliable source) to Entertainment Weekly that NOTHING will be shown:
“It is true, we are showing no footage, behind the scenes or otherwise,” director J.J. Abrams tells Entertainment Weekly. “In the fall, there’ll be a trailer.”
Although, yes this is unfortunate news for fans alike, I personally don’t mind. The behind the scenes feature at this year’s SDCC was more than enough to fill our needs but I think the less we see the more incredible it will be come December.
Okay, they have to market it, but do they really have to release three – four major trailers along with clips to generate buzz? C’mon it’s Star Wars. People will be in lines days before the official release.
I personally think we should stop wanting bigger better trailers left, right and centre and actually be excited for the big day! It’s Star Wars.
What do think? Loads of trailers or just wait and be excited? Let us know! Nerd out!
