Captain America: Civil War Trailer Drops

It’s the big one we have all been waiting for. Our first look at Captain America: Civil War has arrived and boy does it look amazing!

In a somewhat unexpected turn of events, Marvel used the Jimmy Kimmel show as a platform to unveil the FULL trailer for their superhero mash-up movie despite rumours that its first reveal would be in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Hero meets Hero in a conflict of opinions that will turn nasty in one of the most anticipated comic book movies of all time. We get a greater sense of what the movie’s plot line will be and from the trailer it does seem like it will deviate from the original Mark Millar comic arc quite a bit more than expected. The Superhero Registration Act does seem to exist, at least in someway through the “Sokovia Accords” (delivered by an old friend, Thunderbolt Ross), but you get the sense that the real disagreement between Team Cap & Team Iron Man is over The Winter Soldier aka Bucky Barnes.

The crux of the story from the trailer seems to be that Team Iron Man wish to bring Bucky to justice for his actions throughout the years since his disappearance in Captain America: The First Avenger right through to his deeds in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but as he seems to now remember who he is and where he came from, Team Cap intend to protect him and stop Stark & Co. from bringing him in. This leads to the almighty Superhero Civil War we have all been eagerly expecting!

The trailer also provides us with our first look at the King and Protector of Wakanda , Black Panther, who looks absolutely awesome in his now fully put together costume. We also get to see Bucky & Captain America hand an unholy beatdown to Iron Man which leads to the drop of the logo & a craving for so much more.

Of course, there are still many aspects we know to be present in Civil War that were missing from the trailer. Only short glimpses of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, no Ant-Man, Vision, and of course the new Spider-Man and more but their roles will become clearer in due time as we get closer to the much-anticipated May release of Captain America: Civil War.

Captain America: Civil War releases in the UK & Ireland on the 29th of April 2016. Who’s side are you on?
