Marvel’s Doctor Strange Begins Production

While it has been no secert that filming for Marvel’s Doctor Strange has been underway thanks to leaked set shots, Marvel have announced that production on the Sorcerer Supreme’s solo flick has officially begun!

Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton & Chiwetel Ejiofor will introduce to us Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), an extremely talented neurosurgeon who after a terrible car accident discovers a world of magic, alternate dimensions & the supernatural. Ejiofor will play Doctor Strange’s arch-enemy Baron Mordo while it is rumoured Tilda Swinton will bring to the screen The Ancient One, mentor of titular hero Doctor Strange.

Joining the cast will be a stellar line-up including Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel McAdams & Michael Stuhlbarg in as of yet unconfirmed roles. The intention of Doctor Strange and other Phase Three Marvel movies is to bring new & fresh characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and provide a springboard for a more dynamic Avengers roster. Along with Doctor Strange, we will also see a Spider-Man reboot, Ant-Man & The Wasp, Black Panther & Captain Marvel feature in the Phase 3 line-up ensuring that the Marvel Cinematic Universe does not get too stagnant & over use Captain America and Iron Man.

Doctor Strange will be directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister) and is set for cinematic release on the 4th of November 2016. The question now is, will Doctor Strange be introduced in the Civil War credits scene?
