J.J Abrams Surprises His Fans With A Surprise Sequel!

J.J Abrams has pulled a fast one on all his fans – especially those of a certain found footage Sci-Fi Thriller!

As of this morning, J.J Abram’s and Paramount Picture’s have released a very unique and under the radar trailer – with word of the sequel next to nothing throughout the last few month’s fans, myself included have gone completely crazy when it dropped. Take a look below!

Entitled, 10 Cloverfield Lane, this is now an official sequel to the 2008 original hit which saw a group of party goers being force to get out of Manhattan after a mysterious attack occurs!

Here, we see the (maybe aftermath) of the attacks take place with three characters, two of which are played by John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as they apparently seek underground shelter! It also keen to note that it doesn’t look like a found footage outing either, which may benefit those who want to get a look at certain attackers!

Mega director/producer has also come out with a statement in recent hours about the trailer:
“The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”

From me (Ebhin), I am a massive fan of the original and I clearly remember being blown away by the original teaser trailer which aired along side the very first Transformers outing.

Here, it is confirmed that the sequel trailer aired on front of Michael Bay’s latest explosive outing 13 Hours (which we hope to review asap!).

From us at Nerd Lowdown HQ, we can safely say fair play BAD ROBOT – you have doe it again! This genius marketing has garnered much anticipation among the likes of Twitter and we can certainly say we will be getting our butts in those cinema seats in three months time!
