Deadpool Has Not One, But Two Post-Credit Scenes!

We bring you more glorious news about everyone’s favorite Merc with a Mouth today. Yes, you read that correctly, we are bringing you more news about the upcoming Deadpool movie which lands in cinema’s this week (who else is as excited as we are?).

This news adds more excitement to the movie, and keeps up a tradition of post-credit scenes in Marvel movies.

We already know that early screenings of the film have come with a post-credit scene, which adds a little something extra to the film, however, all is not as it seems. There appears to be even more to the film which we will be shown when the film hits cinemas, check out what Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld posted on his twitter:

So it seems Fox are holding off an a juicy post-credit scene until the film is released worldwide, why they are doing this is unclear, but one of the film’s co-writers confirmed the addition of the extra scene on his twitter account:

The extra scenes are referred to as Coda’s, for anyone that is unfamiliar with the term, it is taken from the world of music. It is the term for a passage of music that brings a song or a piece of music to an end. So these two extra scenes are bringing the movie or the story to an end….. for now at least.

The big question coming from these two scenes though is what will they give us? What more could they possibly explain to us in these scenes? One can only speculate as to what they will hold, perhaps one will be used to tease the wider Deadpool/X-Men Universe, one of them could link in to X-Men: Apocalypse which is due to hit cinemas in May (we’d put money on one of them linking in with X-Men: Apocalypse). The second scene? who knows? Maybe it will tease Deadpool V Cable for a future film? Maybe it will tease an X-Force movie which has ling been rumored to be in the works. The beauty of superhero movies is that you never know what to expect, so it could be a scene about anything, hell it could even been an extension of one of the promotional spots for the film that are already airing.

What would you like the post-credit scene to give us? any thoughts as to what it may hold? let us know.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool hits cinemas on February 10th.
