We bring you more Captain America: Civil War news today on the back of that awesome Super Bowl TV spot that we were treated to last night. The promotional train for the movie continues to steam role its way towards its release date in May. Today’s news is that the official website for the movie has gone live.
Marvel launched the official site today, you can check it out here: http://marvel.com/captainamerica
While the site doesn’t offer us much right now, it does provide us with the trailer for the movie which was released several months ago, one of the songs from the films soundtrack which plays as you browse the site, links to social media accounts associated with the film, and a collection of still shots from the films trailers and tv spots. The main image on the home page of the site is the picture of Tony and Cap looking one another in the eye inside the star which is often seen on Cap’s shield, with the film’s tag line Divided We Fall and release date on either side.
Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Captain America: Civil War hits Irish cinema’s on April 29th.
