To anyone that has been watching their programming, the CW Network are doing a fantastic job show casing the DC Television Universe. The network station already has The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and they recently added Supergirl. To anyone that is a fan of the comics and the shows, this opens up a pretty big door for the CW Network to open.
To anyone wondering what door the CW Network could open its quite simple, a 4 way cross over between all 4 shows. The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl are all in the same universe, and there has already been a few crossovers between The Flash and Arrow, and most recently between The Flash and Supergirl. So now that all 4 shows are on the network, there are so many possibilities that can be tapped into.
When speaking at CW’s upfront presentation this passed week, CW Chief Mark Pedowitz made everything official: “Next season, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and now Supergirl will join forces in our annual crossover event, our biggest ever,”
While this news is not surprising as it has become tradition for the shows to cross over, so now there is room for even bigger crossovers spanning 3 of the 4 shows, and of course all 4 shows together. With the ever growing threat in the DC television universe, some of the challenges that lie ahead may take a huge crossover to take down. It may take all the heroes in the TV universe. The villains they could go up against are endless too, DC have done the smart thing in a sense by have the TV and Cinematic Universe separate, whereas Marvel have them both together. So DC could bring in big villains that appeared in the movies, to warrant a threat big enough for a 4 show cross over. It gives them a certain age, and it sets them apart.
All of this kicks off in Autumn when all shows return with The FlashSeason 3, Arrow Season 5, Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 and Supergirl Season 2, with the crossover episode planned for December.
We can’t wait!
