Bioshock Collection Is On The Way!

In a world where gaming companies are re-release old game on the current generation consoles (ps4 and xbox one) to let fans replay some of their favorite games and also to grab some extra cash, it is hard to tell what games will be re-released next. Plenty of rumors float about and whispers of certain collection that are on the way make the rounds. Today 2K have confirmed a long standing rumor.

“I am Andrew Ryan, and I’m here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? ‘No!’ says the man in Washington, ‘It belongs to the poor.’ ‘No!’ says the man in the Vatican, ‘It belongs to God.’ ‘No!’ says the man in Moscow, ‘It belongs to everyone.’ I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture, a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, Where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well. “

Announced today via the Bioshock Facebook, 2K in collaboration with Irrational and Blind Squirrel Games, will be releasing the Bioshock Collection in September. The collection will include remasters of all three titles in the series, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. Which is enough to have people foaming at the mouth…. “But wait, there’s more!” The remastered collection will also include an all-new documentary series about Bioshock, called “Director’s Commentary: Imagining Bioshock.”.

The great thing about this collection is that those on current generation consoles who have never played any game in the series will get to experience a series that spanned 9 years and is highly rated, with each game get a MetaCritic rating of 96 (BS1), 88 (BS2), and 94 (BSI) respectively. Fans and critics alike have shown nothing but love for the video game series and now a new  generation of fans get to experience Rapture and Columbia for themselves.

We here at Nerd Lowdown are huge fans of the series and honestly can’t wait for the collection to be released. So from us to all of you, “Would you kindly”  pick the Bioshock Collection up when it comes out PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 13th 2016.
