Marvel Studios are once again having a fantastic time at San Diego Comic Con. Revealing trailers and concept art for upcoming movies, confirming some long standing rumors, and also revealing a new logo and movie intro.
Marvel studios revealed at new intro fanfare which will be placed at the start of all there movies going forward, and it is a big change from the one we have grown accustomed to over the past 8 years.
The new introduction which Marvel revealed yesterday is accompanied by fanfare composed by Michael Giacchino, for those who are unfamiliar with that name, Giacchino is the composer who scored movies such The Incredibles, Star Trek, and Jurassic World. The intro starts with the traditional flip book style, flashing dozens of different panels from various classic Marvel comics which we all have grown to now and love since it was introduced in 2013. Then the animation gradually transitions into painted artwork of some of Marvel’s biggest stars, including the Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America. As the Marvel Studios logo begins to take shape, several movie clips showing other heroes like the Scarlet Witch, the Falcon, and Groot flash on the logo’s letters.
This is quite a change from the previous movie intro, as you can see in the above clip that the emphasis now is on the movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe rather than the traditional comic book source material.
We for one are fans of the new intro, what do you guys think?
