If reports around the internet are to be believed, then the Predators in the upcoming Predator reboot may have found its prey.
Per The Hollywood Reporter Benicio Del Toro is in negotiations to star in The Predator, the reboot that 20th Century Fox is set to release which sees Shane Black at the helm. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon are set to produce the film, with Fred Dekker tackling the script. At the moment the film is set to start production next February with planned release date the following year in 2018.
Rumor have fun rampant over details surrounding the film, such as who will be take the leading role in the film, what the film will be about and will it tie in with any of the other Predator films but the crew and the film studio are keeping extremely tight lipped about the details, however there are strong indications that the film will be an ensemble film surrounding Del Toro’s character which is the only thing we have to go by.
The original Predator franchise was created in 1987 and has become a staple title for the alien thriller genre. The film spawned a sequel in 1990 titled Predator 2 and several crossovers with the Alien franchise. Alien vs. Predator debuted in 2004 and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem rolled out in 2007 as well as a soft reboot in 2010.
