First Look At Patrick Stewart As Professor X In Logan!

You may have heard the upcoming Wolverine sequel will be Hugh Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine, after playing the beloved character for 16 years he is finally stepping away. Over the past few days plenty of news about the film have been revealed, like the teaser poster and the title.

If you didn’t catch the announcement made by Jackman himself, the film will simply be called Logan,  and below is the teaser poster which sees Wolverine’s forearm and hand with his claw extended and a little girls hand holding his.

Plot details have also been revealed, the plot will centre around the infamous Old Man Logan comic, which features an aged Wolverine due to his powers not working to well anymore. Logan will be set in 2024. Logan looks bad, and drinks a lot (more so than he already does). He drives a 2024 Chrysler 300 limo that looks modified in the front to look more futuristic for work, which could suggest that he is a limo driver or chauffeur. He’s sick, his powers are fading, and he heals much more slowly and sometimes not at all.

We know Patrick Stewart will return as Professor X. In Logan Professor X has not aged well. His powers have been described as unstable. In addition to his power failures, his mind and memory are also fading, as at times he doesn’t remember who Logan is. Director James Mangold today gave us our first look at Professor X from the movie when he tweeted the following picture.

We would be lying if we said this was an easy picture to look at. Patrick Stewart is a fantastic actor and portray’s Professor X perfectly and fans have grown to love him over the years. Seeing one of the most beloved characters in the X-Men series look so old and worn down is not fun even though we know it is for the story of the movie.

Logan is certainly shaping up to be a great movie, we guess seeing as it will be Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine, why not go out with a bang.

Logan is set for a March 3, 2017 release.
