Doctor Strange IMAX Experience Preview – Expand Your Mind

It was only fifteen minutes, but boy was that one exhilarating fifteen minutes…

We were fortunate enough to get to see an extended preview of Marvel’s latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we’re happy to report that we’ve all been right to be super excited about the Sorcerer Supreme’s debut on the big screen.

Doctor-Strange

The content of the preview itself was mostly spoiler free, mostly detailing the Doctor Strange origin story and some scenes from the trailers but extended out a bit further. The purpose of this preview was of course for Disney & Marvel to show off the vastly impressive effects that Scott Derrickson & crew have been striving to create in glorious IMAX.

The best way to really describe the effects in Doctor Strange is like double dropping acid while downing a pint of magic mushroom infused Red Bull and then looking down a kaleidoscope. The special effects work is absolutely astounding and despite some previous Inception comparisons, pushes the boundaries even further than Nolan’s blockbuster did. This will be the most trippy and psychedelic cinematic experience you will ever experience all while opening up a whole new element to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s still two weeks-ish until the official release of Doctor Strange but we’re very excited to see more. Let any reservations you had about Doctor Strange drift away and expand your mind…

Doctor Strange is in cinemas nationwide from October 25th.
