The Flash & Legends of Tomorrow Synopses Give A Good Indication Of What Invasion! Is About

The CW has finally given fans a good indication of what the upcoming, four-show Invasion! crossover will be about in the official synopses for upcoming episodes of The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Details are scarce about the highly anticipated crossover between the CW’s four superhero shows, but today we got a good idea of what to expect.

For unaware of the upcoming Invasion! cross over it will see the heroes of the CW come together, so we’ll see The Flash team up with Supergirl, Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow. Invasion!  is a comicbook miniseries which was written in 1988 by Keith Giffen, Bill Mantlo, Todd McFarlane, Bart Sears and several others. For those unfamiliar with it, the miniseries seen aliens being assembled by The Dominators who descend on Earth to bring an end to the “threat” of Earth’s burgeoning metahuman community.

Given that the show’s on the CW deal with a good few metahumans, this army could very be made up of metahumans that have already been introduce, or the could be an alien race that are sent down, those details haven’t been given away, but we do know that The Dominators will apparently be mind-controlling the aliens that join them, and quite possibly into joining them. This makes for an interesting plot feature, as they could mind control some of the heroes into fighting each other. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. The synopsis for The Flash  and Legends of Tomorrow can be seen below.

Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist). Once all of the super friends are assembled, they come up with a plan to attack but a shocking secret related to Flashpoint is revealed and suddenly no one is sure who they can trust. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to join the battle against the aliens but Iris (Candice Patton) tells him he’s not ready.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL IN THIS CROSSOVER OF SUPERHEROS — After learning the Dominators’ plan for the world, the Legends must work together with The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin), Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) and Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) to kill them once and for all. Meanwhile, Stein (Victor Garber) figures out, with the help of others, how the team can terminate the Dominators, but is distracted by the aberration he realizes he created in 1987. Brandon Routh, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Nick Zano and Caity Lotz also star.

These 2 synopsis give us a good indication as to what will go down, the most interest piece of information to come from them is that something from the Flashpoint timeline Barry created will cause a rift between the heroes, and it is anyone’s guess as to what it may be. We certainly can’t wait for the crossover to happen.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT; The Flash on Tuesdays at the same time; Arrow on Wednesdays and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays. All four series air on The CW. The “Invasion!” crossover will air beginning November 28.
