Yu Gi Oh fans can rejoice that the anime series is set to return to our screens this year. Ever since the original anime series wrapped up the story of Yugi Mutou and the spirit of the millennium puzzle fans have longed to see them back on screens, and see what other stories can be told between the two. This year is set to bring Yugi Mutou and his friends back to our screens in the form of The Dark Side of Dimensions.
At the end of January, 4K Media will bring Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions to theaters in the U.S. and Canada. The film, opened in Japan last April, and is set to follow Yugi Mutou and his friends as they go head-to-head with a menacing new villain. Today we have been giving a brand new trailer for the film which has been dubbed in English.
The new trailer gives fans their first taste of Aigami’s English voice who is voiced by actor Daniel J. Edwards. The trailer kicks off with the villain doing away with a group of seedy looking citizens before the trailer reintroduce’s Yugi. Yugi is concerned that groups of people are suddenly disappearing in their city, but it doesn’t take long for Aigami to make himself known. The villain claims he has the power to turn his world into something grand, but Yugi is unwilling to let Aigami see his plans for world domination come to fruition.
The new trailer is sure to get fans of the original series excited to see the films release. This reader grew up watching the original anime and would purposely get up early Saturday morning’s to watch each new episode. The film will be sure to hit home with a good number of fans as well as introduce a new generation of kids to how good the original series was.

The film is set for release in US and Canadian cinemas on January 27th, no word yet on whether it will get a release in UK and European cinemas.
