Disney D23 2017 has been bringing fans sneak peaks, trailers, announcements, panels and all the Disney news they could want. Fans have been loving the announcements so far, and last Disney dropped one that hinted when we are gonna see a certain set of toys again.
Disney announced when we would see Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang from Toy Story again as well as an indication as to what the plot will centre around. The next installment in the franchise will see Woody takes the toys on an adventure to rescue Wheezy, Etch-A-Sketch and his beloved Bo-Peep who had been given away between Toy Story 2 and 3. So we will see the entire gang reunited by the end of the film should their quest be successful.
We also learnt from the Disney D23 expo that John Lasseter will be stepping down as director, leaving co-director Josh Cooley to take the helm. Lasseter will remain on the film as the executive producer, to help Cooley with his first feature length film. Some of us here feel that Toy Story 3 wrapped up the franchise in a great way, it was a solid ending to the original trilogy, but where there is a demand, there is a need for another film, hence how the fourth installment is coming to be.
Toy Story 4 is expected to hit cinemas on June 21st 2019.
